I am the Bilingual Prek teacher at OLS. I grew up in Brighton Park up to the age of 5 then have been living in Garfield Ridge ever since. My family is from Michoacan, Mexico. I went to elementary school at Mark Twain Elementary and I went to college at Saint Xavier University. I am currently at Concordia for my master’s in Reading.
One thing I want OLS students and families to know about me is that I truly care for the well being and safety of every single one of my students. I enjoy developing an environment that is nurturing and inclusive to my student’s learning. I believe that Catholic education is putting Christ at center and allowing him to guide our willingness to learn.
Why OLS? The feeling of home.
My teaching style is a mix between the Vygotsky and Reggio Emilia. I believe students need guidance to help their success but it also crucial that it is student led and a lot of student contribution. I do, we do ,you do approach.
